Can you hang wallpaper in a kitchen?
Yes, as long as you choose a washable material. Our Lino is vinyl, durable and easy to clean — ideal for kitchens. Paper-front materials like Mate and Fibroso are best kept to splash-free areas.
Does it resist steam, grease and splashes?
Lino is designed for demanding spaces like kitchens: it withstands steam and wipes clean easily. The only thing to avoid is direct, constant water or oil splashing, such as right behind the sink or hob.
How do I clean grease off kitchen wallpaper?
Lino cleans with a damp cloth and neutral soap, no scourers or abrasive products. Surface grease comes off easily, which is why we recommend it for kitchens and high-traffic areas.
Where should it not go in a kitchen?
Avoid placing it directly behind the hob and in the sink's direct splash zone. A glass or tile splashback protects those spots better; the wallpaper looks perfect across the rest of the kitchen.
Can it be installed over kitchen tiles?
Yes, if the surface is prepared correctly: grout lines should be smoothed with filler and a primer applied to ensure adhesion. If you book our installation in Madrid, we handle all the preparation.
